The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is having a contest to design a community flag, to be displayed at homes, businesses and gardens throughout the city.
The design should use no more than four colors and must fit a 3-by-5-foot ratio. The winning design will be sold in 3-by-5-foot regular flags and 12½-by-18-inch garden flags. The chamber will donate 25% of sales proceeds to the Fox Valley Patriotic Organization in support of the Batavia Flag Day Monument.
The entry deadline is March 1. Instructions and a submission form are at bataviaflag.org. Entries may be mailed or dropped off at the chamber office at 106 W. Wilson St.
